About the Role

We are looking for an inhouse Graphic Designer to join our team to create, design and produce visual and video concepts and solutions for Bolinda corporate, Bolinda audiobooks and BorrowBox – your library in one app.

You will develop and design concepts for a range of commercial products and services. You will work on new as well as re-purposing existing creative, sales pitches for authors and library tenders, product campaigns, product and brand ads, brand and communication, author creative assets, website refreshes, social media creative (including video) and more. 

This role is super diverse, fun and requires a hard-working professional with a range of skills and knowledge in design and video. 

The role is suited to someone with a strong design edge, high work ethic, and the ability to work independently with and without direction, as well as part of a small team and often to tight deadlines.

You will be responsible for:

  • Safe-guarding brand equity by ensuring the consistent application of branding across all collateral in all markets we operate. 
  • Keeping the customer experience at the forefront of every piece of creative execution
  • Executing designs on time and in line with current templates and creative briefs
  • Creative problem solving as required
  • Multi-tasking – working on more than one project at a time – across the business
  • Following stringent quality control processes
  • Preparing Press-readying creative
  • Briefing and contact with suppliers as required
  • Representing the Bolinda brand in a professional, helpful and respectful way in all communications

About You

To be considered for his role you must have:

  • A Bachelor of Design (Communication Design/Visual Communication), Diploma of Graphic Design
  • High proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and their Creative Suites
  • A passion for great branding, composition in design and product
  • Experience working in-house or at an agency
  • A portfolio that exhibits strong ability in one of more of the following areas: corporate design and branding, long-form narrative, interactive/web design and product communications design
  • Be highly organised with a strong attention to detail (you will need to be able to file assets fastidiously)
  • Proven follow-through and ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects simultaneously
  • The ability to solve challenges with creative ability
  • The ability to take on constructive feedback and adapt designs accordingly
  • Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Have excellent computer skills and be a proficient Mac user
  • Excellence and accuracy in copywriting and proofing
  • A sense of pride in your work
  • A can-do attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and be involved in any adhoc needs of supporting the departments goals
